    Ingredients

    300 gms
    Fish fillets
    1/2 teaspoon
    Turmeric powder
    1 teaspoon
    Chilli powder
    to taste
    Salt
    1 teaspoon
    Ginger paste 
    1 teaspoon
    Garlic paste 
    1/2 cup
    Onion paste 
    1/4 teaspoon
    Garam masala powder 
    1 cup
    Curd 
    1/4 cup
    Fresh Cream 
    2 tablespoons
    Chopped coriander leaves 
    1/4 cup
    Fried onions 
    1 cup
    Basmati Rice 
    1 tablespoon
    Kasoori methi 
    as required
    Oil

    Steps

    1. Mix turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt, ginger-garlic pastes, onion paste, garam masala and 1/2 cup curd and marinate the fish in it for at least half an hour. .
    2. Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the fish fillets till brown in colour and cooked. Take off the heat.
    3. Meanwhile, saute the remaining marinade in a little bit oil till oil separates.
    4. Mix the remaining curd,cream,coriander leaves, half of the fried onions and the marinade and mix with the fish.
    5. Cook the rice with kasoori methi till done.
    6. Take a baking dish and layer the rice and fish alternately with rice forming the topmost layer.
    7. Bake in a preheated oven of 180C for 15 minutes.
    8. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and remaining fried onions and serve with Raita or Mirchi ka salan.
