Eggless Wholewheat Cookies

As a blogger, the prime aspect I enjoy is the feedback I receive from my readers. There are quite a few of them who gives feedback on a regular basis. Some of them ask doubts regarding recipes. My effort is to try and help them in whatever way I can. The other day a reader had attempted baking wholewheat cookies that didn’t turn out as she wanted it to be. She wanted to know what went wrong. As it had been a while since I baked wholewheat cookies, the best thing I could offer was to try out the recipe…

Biscotti

One aspect I like about sending lunch/snacks for D to school is the feedback. One can’t get a more honest feedback. I always look forward to hear the feedback, especially when I send something new. Getting positive feedback encourages me even more to try new dishes. After receiving appreciation for the brownies I had sent the other day, I decided to make Biscotti. This has been in my to-do list for a while. The preparation of the dish is very easy. However, the baking takes a while. But trust me, it’s all worth the effort when you bit into those…

Chocolate Cookies

The other day, D requested me to make some Chocolate Cookies. As I had a recipe saved in my ‘to-do list’, I didn’t have to search for the recipe. The recipe I saved is from Allrecipes . However I tweaked it a bit. One thing I found intriguing in this recipe, was the mixing of hot water with soda. On further research, I found that this was done for two reasons. One is to activate the soda and the second reason was to ensure even distribution of the soda. Truth be told, I was a bit apprehensive, but went ahead…

Homemade Dark Fantasy Choco Fills

Yesterday D offered me a piece of Sunfeast Dark Fantasy Chocofills and asked, “Isn’t it good?”, to which I replied in the affirmative. However, I wasn’t quite prepared for the question that followed. “Mama, can’t you make this???” That set me thinking….. Well, yeah I gotta try making this. Even th

Pomegranate White Chocolate Chunk Cookies

The good thing about working-from-home is that apart from doing the job, you get the freedom to do your own stuff as well. Had it not been for my job, I doubt whether I would have been spending so much of my time in front of the computer. One way or the other, my browsing sessions end in food relate
